Clothesline Themed Nursery

I found this picture on www.styleestate.com. This site offers a place where you can post pictures of rooms that you designed within your home and have them rated by other readers. What a great idea!

Isn’t it cute how they hung the baby clothes right on the wall with matching wooden hangers? The colorful clothes pop against the soft yellow wall. The main crib wall is a beautiful sage green with white flowers randomly painted to match the white furniture…..talk about tieing it all together…

This mural was done by a muralist contact of mine from Artistic Alternatives out of New Jersey. She explains on her site that in order to prepare for the mural, she took several pictures of the actual clothes on a clothes line and then used that as reference to pain the mural. It was done for a boy’s nursery.

Now is this a cute and creative idea! A clothesline on the beach in between two palm trees. I found this one on www.margiesmurals.com

I don’t think this mural was necessarily painted for a nursery, but I wanted to include it. I found it on www.jillhelms.com

The country/clothesline room has a surreal feel to it–I love it! A full-wall mural of pretty scenery could really get a person through the long winter months of the midwest (Utah)…
