Paint Colors Portray Different Moods in a Baby Nursery

I came across this awesome picture on www.Ohdeedoh.com.  They had a contest for the MOST Beautiful Colorful Kids’ Rooms of 2008.  This is the room that won.  Wow, right?!  I never would think of painting a baby’s room in such a bright color.

Paint color can portray certain color moods.  Check out these videos to see what each color represents.  It may help you as you are making decisions on paint color for the nursery.

I personally would not paint a bright color in my baby’s nursery.  I really feel that an overabundance of these colors can overstimulate a child, especially since the nursery is mostly a place where they sleep.   But this is of course a matter of opinion.  I have seen some really awesome nursery designs that have been decorated with bright stimulating colors, so I am not completely against it.  I think I would rather do a playroom space though rather than a nursery in that type of color and decor.

What do you think?  Do you have anything against bright colors in the nursery?
