Black in a Baby Nursery?

I would never think to include any form of black in a baby nursery except for maybe the furniture.  But I came across these awesome and creative nursery designs that I just HAVE to share!

This first one is pretty wild right?  Black and white stripes in a babies room – wow!  I found this one on Design Dazzle.

This baby nursery has a painted black cityscape and they combined the dark with white furniture.   Found this one on www.ChickieDee.com.

This one looks more like a teen girl’s room, not a baby’s room, but it sure is unique!  I found this one again on Design Dazzle.

Black, Red, and White Baby Nursery.  My mom would love this one.  This is her favorite color combination.  Found this one on Cafe Mom.

When I think of babies, the last color I think about is black.  I guess you really have to be a bit wild to go with black in the nursery, but there is nothing wrong with that!  :)

  1. Isn’t that Cityscape mural A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! I just love that one! I also love the red, black and white colors of the other nurseries. Black is so bold and really makes a statement. Thanks for spreading the word!

  2. We were pretty surprised too when we saw some of the trends for black and red furniture – especially prevalent in big cities. Even though I’m not a huge fan of the typical pink for girls and blue for boys these colors are just a little too dark for me.

Great site. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.

I like the cityscape design best. The first one is pretty ugly though. The way the did the red – and too much of it – is an eyesore. Plus the tan carpeting is so out of place.
